Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby has signed a five-year deal with the Green Bay Packers. The specific details about his contract have not been released, but it is expected that he will be earning around 3 million dollars per year. I'm glad to see that Crosby will be a Packer for awhile. While Crosby signed a five year deal, the Packers traded Daryn Colledge to the Arizona Cardinals and are expected to release Nick Barnett if a trade deal cannot be made. Such is life when you are a professional football player. Because Crosby is an unrestricted free agent he can't report to practice until the first day of the league year which isn't until the first week in August. However, things might change. I'm getting so excited for the 2011 Green Bay Packers season! I'm so glad that the NFL lockout has ended and football is back on.
