3 Bold Predictions for the 2011 Green Bay Packers Season Revisited

2011 Green Bay Packers SeasonIt's the end of 2011 and I'd like to take this opportunity to reflect on the 2011 Packers season by revisiting the 3 Bold Predictions for the 2011 Green Bay Packers Season that I had made in early September. Here's what I had said I believed would happen this Packers season:

1) The Packers will take the NFC North.
2) The Packers will go 13-3.
3) The Packers will play in Super Bowl 46.

My first prediction was right--the Packers did in fact win the NFC North for the first time since 2007. Thankfully, my second prediction was wrong; the Packers will end the 2011 season with a better record than 13-3. They will either finish 15-1 or 14-2. I can't even remember the last time the Packers had such a stellar record. We will soon find out if my third prediction will come true. I like to think that the Packers will return to the Super Bowl this year. My guess is that they will host the New Orleans Saints for this year's NFC Championship at Lambeau Field. And if they win, a Packers vs. Patriots Super Bowl?
